Transporting Your Business to New Heights

RSI Insurance Brokers has transportation insurance down pat. But did you know we can also provide health and benefits plans, in addition to social service insurance?

The transportation industry is complex and in need of specialized products.  We recognize fleet owners have different needs than those who operate vehicles day in and day out.  With ingenuity one must be flexible, and able to listen.  RSI is all ears.

GPS - Is it For Your Fleet?

GPS - or Global Positioning System - is now a common fixture in many cars, and will likely become a standard feature in all new passenger cars. sometime in the near future. But what about a fleet? Should fleet owners provide GPS in all vehicles?

If your fleet is responsible for delivering products by a specific deadline, traveling rural routes, or not producing to meet company standards, GPS can help.

With GPS, a fleet’s location is constantly monitored by a dispatcher.    This dispatcher can steer drivers in the right direction, minimizing lost time and fuel costs.  Like a statistician monitoring the movements of every football player, dispatchers, or assigned employees can watch the play by play of every vehicle maneuver.

Accessible technology has heightened expectations concerning response time and efficiency.  GPS steers drivers to the quickest routes, while supplying companies with drivers’ whereabouts.

While enabling fleet owners to steer the ship more tightly, GPS is also high maintenance.  Is it for you?
